Alan Friedlander

BA LLB (Sydney)

Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University.

He was admitted to practice in 1976 in New South Wales and the High Court of Australia and subsequently in Victoria, England and Wales, and Hong Kong.

Alan has worked as an employee or been a partner of a number of large commercial law firms and has been involved in a vast array of matters for both local and international clients.  He mostly conducts commercial litigation matters in Courts and Tribunals including alternative dispute resolution processes to obtain the best results for clients at the most cost effective rate.  He sometimes works alone or when necessary, he works with a team of lawyers, paralegals and barristers.

Alan has experience in contractual disputes, insolvency matters, intellectual property disputes, director and shareholder issues, real property and leasing disputes, tax disputes, inheritance disputes, technology disputes, product liability disputes and debt recovery matters.

Alan joined CharterLaw in 2024 to assist with large litigation matters undertaken by the firm.
